Jamie Kruse, LCSW

jamie Kruse

Hello! I am Jamie Kruse, CEO and Psychotherapist here at JKruse Therapy Services, LLC.  I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified EMDR Therapist. With your help, I focus on finding the blocks that are preventing you from living the life you want to have.  Your past does not have to define who you are. I am here to help you with that.

I have been in the field for over 14 years.  I have worked with a variety of ages of individuals who have faced a variety of life challenges.  From working with families with children with disabilities, an adoption reunion worker, probation officer, respite worker for adults with disabilities, crisis worker, to therapist, I have worn many hats.  I am also a mother of two beautiful children, a wife, and mother of two dogs!

My expertise is working with mood disorders, emotional dysregulation, trauma, self harm, and anxiety. I have worked extensively with social phobias, life transitions, grief and loss, relationships, divorce, dating, crisis, and substance abuse.

Therapy techniques  that are utilized are as follows;  EMDR; Cognitive Behavioral Therapy; DBT; Motivational Interviewing; Solution Focused; Gottman Therapy; and Family Systems.

In addition to these techniques, the underpinnings of my approach with working with clients is based on a Humanistic and a Transpersonal approach. I offer learning on how to tap into your own inner strengths. I help you in  finding your own inner guide. I believe that we have the abilities to heal ourselves and be our own teacher.

This is where meditation and prayer step in. In order to find our inner teacher, we must be still. Many studies have shown the psychological and physical benefits of prayer and meditation. I often incorporate meditation and mindfulness based techniques to help focus on being present; and aid in being curious to what happens when we can quiet the mind and open our hearts.

I do believe that we are more than our physical bodies, and it is my intent to assist those who express interest in exploring how spiritual beliefs and practices may serve to enhance their lives. It is not necessary that a client has any religious or spiritual views in order to work with me in therapy, and it is not my intent to push spiritual or religious views on anyone, and I honor each person that comes in my office. I truly offer a holding place for exploration with no judgement.

Clients and I work together to uncover how to empower you towards your desired change. I believe that getting to the root of our problems is how we can create change. I can help you do that both on a mental and emotional level, as well as a spiritual level.

I am a member of the National Association of Social Workers and also a member of Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing International Association (EMDRIA).

I value a natural, holistic approach, and value alternative medicine. I am a Heart Math Facilitator, a graduate of Awakening your Light Body, and have an advanced certificate in Spiritual Response Therapy or SRT.

Welcome! I am glad you have made the step forward in change. I know that it may be difficult, and I am here to tell you that you don’t have to do it alone any longer.
