Empowerment and Sisterhood Group (Ages 13-15)

Group meets weekly at 11:30AM on Thursdays for 8 Week Period from June 20th-August 15th

What will the Empowerment and Sisterhood Group entail?

In a world full of distractions it can be overwhelming to answer the simple question- who am I? This is especially true for young women who are constantly bombarded with manicured images of how women should be, as opposed to how women really are.

These images and social pressures can lead to challenges such as anxiety, questioning of identity, and self esteem
issues.To help navigate these issues women must come together to empower themselves and one another to navigate this confusing time. This is what we will focus on in the Empowerment and Sisterhood Group.

This group will start with icebreaker questions to help facilitate cohesion, and consist of guided activities that will help improve self esteem, identify triggering situations, education on coping skills, cultivate healthy self images, improving relationship building skills, and will end with closing activities that aid reflection on what was discussed.

The format will span once a week at 11:30AM on every Thursday over an 8-week period, where there are different activities prioritized for each week.

• Thursday, August 1st
• Thursday, August 8th
• Thursday, August 15th

Investment is $240 for all 8-weeks. Payment can be made in 2 installments of $120. Early Bird Registration (by May 15th): $200, or $100 for 2 installments.
